Deputy IT DirectorManagement & Efficiency
We are seeking an experienced IT leader to drive operational excellence, strengthen project delivery, and uplift the overall governance of the IT organization. The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in PMO management, strong strategic thinking, and proven ability to lead large-scale initiatives in complex, fast-paced environments. This role requires a structured, analytical and influential professional capable of shaping processes, optimizing performance, and supporting strategic decision-making across the IT division.
Key Responsibilities
PMO Leadership & Project Governance
- Lead and develop the PMO function, ensuring best-practice standards, procedures and methodologies.
- Manage and control the full portfolio of IT projects, ensuring alignment with business priorities.
- Drive a strong project culture, improve governance, and enhance delivery effectiveness.
Operational Excellence
- Optimize internal IT processes and day-to-day operational activities across the directorate.
- Oversee KPI monitoring, resource planning, and workload management.
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives to strengthen efficiency and performance.
Strategic Support & Stakeholder Management
- Support the IT Director in strategic planning, decision-making and roadmap development.
- Prepare reports, performance updates and insights for senior leadership.
- Build effective communication channels with internal teams, business units and external partners.
Requirements
- Higher education in Information Technology, Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum 10 years of managerial experience in large international organizations with complex structures.
- Strong background in building and leading a PMO organization.
- Deep knowledge of PMP/PRINCE2, ITIL or similar frameworks (certifications are a strong advantage).
- Proven experience in IT project delivery, operational optimization and change management.
- Strong leadership, organizational skills and the ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, especially when engaging senior management.
- Experience in large-scale retail, logistics or multi-site environments is a significant advantage.
