Finance Manager

We are supporting a global financial services provider—renowned for its robust trading platform and international presence—in identifying an experienced and strategically minded professional to lead the Client Money Operations function at its Sofia office.

This is a pivotal leadership role that goes beyond operational excellence—it is about safeguarding financial integrity, leading a high-performing team, and building structures that support regulatory compliance, strategic reporting, and long-term business scalability.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide strategic oversight of the full client funds cycle—including deposit and withdrawal processing—ensuring accuracy, transparency, and alignment with global standards;
• Lead and mentor a team responsible for daily client money reconciliation, embedding a culture of accountability, precision, and continuous improvement;
• Foster and manage key relationships with banking partners, brokers, and internal stakeholders to resolve high-priority financial queries efficiently;
• Oversee the implementation and optimization of financial reporting tools and platforms, aligning with internal controls and evolving business needs;
• Approve daily reconciliations and journal entries via the internal SUN accounting system, maintaining accuracy and audit-readiness;
• Work closely with senior finance leadership on strategic projects, including decision-critical reporting and performance reviews;
• Lead internal initiatives to refine financial procedures and elevate compliance protocols, especially in the context of AML and client asset regulations.

Your Profile:

• Senior-level experience in finance, accounting, or treasury operations—preferably within financial services or fintech;
• Strong leadership credentials and proven success in managing cross-functional finance teams;

• Solid knowledge of regulatory frameworks governing client money, AML compliance, and reconciliation processes;
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and familiarity with enterprise financial systems (e.g. SUN, Oracle, SAP);
• Strategic, structured thinker with excellent problem-solving abilities;
• Relevant certifications (e.g. ACCA, CFA) are considered an advantage;
• Excellent command of English (written and spoken).
