For our client – an established pharmaceutical company, we are looking for a detail-oriented finance expert to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial records in the role of:
General Ledger Accountant
What you will do:
- Take full ownership of all General Ledger areas including accruals, provisions, VAT and tax balances;
- Manage the full cycle of complex bookkeeping entries across multiple transaction types;
- Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual close cycles and proactively flag risks;
- Conduct thorough balance sheet reconciliations and drive resolution of discrepancies;
- Prepare the monthly group reporting package for consolidation purposes;
- Contribute to statutory reporting, tax reconciliations, and audit readiness;
- Play an active role in improving end-to end GL processes, controls, and templates.

What you need to succeed:
- 3+ years of hands-on General Ledger experience, ideally in a complex, multinational company;
- A degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field;
- Solid understanding of Bulgarian accounting standards and statutory reporting (hands-on experience with IFRS is a huge advantage);
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across diverse teams;
- Ability to analyze and structure complex financial data with clarity and precision;
- A high level of professionalism paired with a self-sufficient approach to managing responsibilities;
- Excellent command of the English language, both written and spoken.
