Your Role:

We are looking for a Database Engineer with proven experience in scaling and optimizing modern database platforms. In this role, you will design and manage resilient, high-performance data infrastructure that powers mission-critical financial services used globally. Responsibilities:

✅ Design, implement, and manage scalable database architectures in a hybrid cloud setup
✅ Optimize database performance, scalability, and cost-efficiency across PostgreSQL and MySQL platforms
✅ Collaborate with engineering, DevOps, and analytics teams to align data solutions with business goals
✅ Lead modernization of legacy systems and support data platform migrations
✅ Implement robust data governance, security, and compliance frameworks
✅ Monitor and troubleshoot database environments for availability and reliability
✅ Stay on top of the latest trends in data technologies and recommend improvements

Requirements:

✅ Proven experience as a Database Engineer, Data Architect, or similar technical role
✅ Hands-on experience managing and scaling PostgreSQL and MySQL in production environments
✅ Deep understanding of data modeling, database design, and data warehousing principles
✅ Experience with messaging queues architecture—design, implementation & troubleshooting
✅ Familiarity with ETL/ELT pipelines and business intelligence tools
✅ Cloud experience—preferably with AWS and cloud-native database services
✅ Knowledge of Database DevOps tools and practices
✅ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
✅ Excellent collaboration and communication abilities
✅ Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field (or equivalent professional experience)
